Spelunking (not the best idea for those afraid of heights). This is exploring caves - not climbing mountains. - ????

This advice is irrelevant for dating - these ideas make more sense for people in established relationships. If I'm seeing someone for the first few times, planning a weekend away is too much too soon. Enrolling in classes - isn't that presuming you'll be together a long time? Try again and get real. The best ideas have to be one-off, one-time events, and not things taking place in someone's home. Planning a double-date with parents - get real! By the time you've met them, you're probably halfway down the aisle and already picked out baby names. This is NOT useful. Got it?

I agree with the last commentor. While these are probably good for established relationships looking for something to do, there's no way I would plan a weekend getaway or a date with the folks at the early stages. I wish the author would think more for the broader audience of people trying to get INTO a relationship. It's a lot tougher for us. When you're in one, it's a lot easier to think of things to do sinc you're more familiar with each other's likes and dislikes. So I don't think couples need this type of advice as badly as the single side does. Jeff, you have something for me?

I looked at this article to find out some new ideas for my husband and I to do together on date night. The last commentor thought that couples didn't need any advice on dating, but after 14 year together and two kids, it's nice to find some new ideas for date night. Good ideas for couples, but not for people just starting to date one another.

You forget, that dating is still a part of relationships.

Why not just have an entire evening of boinking?? That is plain and inexpensive fun (as long as you use a condom and/or the pill or that evening will cost you $200,000 for the next 18 years). Order food from a restaurant for delivery to keep up your energy. Remember to shower before you begin... Enjoy!
