I am a great person! I am a typical Gemini, sometimes a bit talkative (but never shrill or too yappy) other times I like to be quiet...have varied interests...I have a 4 octave range of singing like different types of music everything except twangy country and rap which isn't music at least to me....however, I am a gourmet cook yet can enjoy a nice restaurant whether it be fancy or someplace like Felix's restaurant & oyster house. I like movies adventure, mystery, comedy but please nothing gory like 'nightmare on elm street'--like to walk, bike, swim to keep in physical shape but am not an exercise junkie or a sports nut, yet I can enjoy a baseball play off game or occasional football game--just not every week-end.
I love to camp out when it's cold outside -love to fish, usually freshwater bass/catfish. I like to travel some but always need a home base to return to. I'm not a shopaholic or 'mall girl' but like to dress nicely but don't need designer clothes. I can go from jeans/shorts to evening dress once in a while if the need arises. I'm very smart, pretty , educated and funny...but not full of myself. I am retired from my federal job and try to keep up with national and local politics and daily goings on in the news whether it be local or national. I like different tv shows--dateline, 48 hours, law and order--especially original one or c/i , home shows like property searchs, sci fi shows like dead zone, shows like smallville, little house on the prairie, some game shows like 'deal or no deal' --funny shows like america's funniest videos, old movies-even some old silent movies-love tcm or some old movies like bette davis, clark gable, jean harlow love to read true crime novels and movies about such but not all the time especially late at night. I'm a night owl and can stay up all night a lot of times...anyway, I'm interesting so maybe you are too. who knows? maybe we can go to french quarter and have some beignets and cafe au lait at Cafe Du' Monde? or see sunrise on Miss. river by riverwalk/moonwalk.....or during day go to Johnny's Po Boys and get a 'roast beef poboy on that wonderful french bread....
I can't eat very much but still love the taste! I'm a Christian and try to live as I believe however, I don't get preachy on anyone. I believe in Karma, being faithful and true, still believe in love, honesty, empathy, caring. I retired from a wonderful job with the federal government where I helped many people for almost 30 years. I like someone educated, smart, funny (can you view your everyday missteps/mistakes and still laugh at yourself? I can, thank God!) ---I want someone who's neat, clean has gotten rid of personal demons-for the most part-is reliable/ steady, has a career but no type 'a' where your so tied to your job that you can't go on a date or to the beach vacation or a movie and dinner without talking 24/7/365 on your cell phone--unless you have a sick/ill child or are a doctor who is 'on call' which I think is more than reasonable, don't you?
I don't want someone who's a partier, drug/alcoholic --most of all always have self-respect...If you ever saw movies like 'The picture of Doria Gray' or "tale of 2 cities' you know what I mean.
I like pets but have to be careful of very long haired cats/dogs due to allergies, although I love pets...I love children too but never had any myself. I'm very patient person partly due to my type of personality plus having a younger brother that was very, very hyperactive and so I learned patience at a young age....enough for now, so if you read this who knows? let's write to each other--friends first,
